The typical picture

The GP prescribes something, the cardiologist has separate findings, the hospital sends a discharge letter. Each one holds a piece. Nobody holds the whole. As the caregiver, you end up as the person who connects them all, whether you wanted to or not.

Sharing with family

If several family members share the care, you can invite someone by email. Your sister sees the same brief, can download it, cannot change anything. You can end the access at any time.

Each time a shared brief is opened, we record it in our system log for security. This record is not yet shown in your account.

The legal side

You give us nothing you do not already have. Whether you may receive a relative's medical documents usually depends on a power of attorney, for example a lasting or healthcare power of attorney (in Austria a Vorsorgevollmacht or an adult representative). An advance directive only records which treatments someone wants or refuses; it does not by itself give you access to documents. Rules differ by country, so check what applies to you with the clinic or an advice service. Continuum does not offer legal representation, but we handle your data in line with the GDPR and delete anything you do not want to keep.

One tip. Save the brief with the date in the title. You can see at a glance which version you discussed with the doctor.
